Safety precautions can be different for each client. Be sure to check with a client’s physician about their precautions.
Generally, after a hip surgery a client should not
- bend the operated hip more than 90 degrees
- cross their legs
- twist their hips
- sit on surfaces lower than their knee height
Therefore here are some recommendations for safe sexual positions:
- Supported standing position (whether you are in the front or behind)
- Lying on either side (face-to face or back-to-front).
